Welcome to Style by Tara– where feeling great and looking great go hand in hand. Whether you are gathering on-the-go inspo for your wardrobe or are a serious fashionista, this month’s handy guide is all things lifestyle tips, wellness ways, and my November fashion favorites. Let’s dive right into the coziness of Fall and keep you warm and wrapped up in the latest events of the season here in the lou lou’s community.
Faux Fur is Fabulous / Sherpa is Simply Chic.
When I think of Fall, one of the first things that comes to mind are the endless options for outerwear. Sometimes, just the right jacket or coat can complete an outfit or add an elegant flair to your natural style. This season, consider a rugged bomber jacket with a hint of sherpa to keep you cozy. Whether you go full Sherpa or simply add a splash of it to your wardrobe, it’s a hot trend that is sure to keep you warm during the cooler months.
Another way to keep warm is the full faux fur look. Not only is it ethical, but it’s completely plush and fun to touch. The faux fur vest is one of my favorite ways add dimension to your daily look. You can pair this vest with your favorite fall sweater for those extra cold days or nights out. For a more casual look, style this with jeans or leggings. The possibilities are endless with the faux fur fashion.
Don’t Sweat Finding the Right Sweater – We’ve Got You Covered!
While the classics like the pullover sweater are always great to have on hand, this season is all about reimagining the standard style that we are accustomed to. Loose fitting wide necks like the Kerisma sweaterare a soft way to add an accent to your Fall look. The embellishing dolman sleeves seal in the heat and are flattering to all figures. Light camel in particular, is an irresistible color to stock up on as it’s neutral enough to match most outfits.
In addition to a more unusual sweater look, it’s great to have the standard turtleneck handy for those wintery weather moments. A cozy turtleneck sweatercan be worn underneath of a blazer for business look or worn with your favorite flair jeans for a retro rendition. Charcoal is an especially versatile color to keep in your closet as it adds intrigue to the palette of your wardrobe.
The Top 5 Holiday Hostess Tips to Staying Chic, Chill, and Charming.
While the hustle and bustle of the holidays can be quite exciting, it’s also important to stay calm and prepare properly for your gatherings and parties in order to avoid the holiday hostess burnout. Here are a few handy tips to jott down before head to the grocery store or plan your party outfits:
- Get EXTRA sleep (AKA Beauty Sleep!)
As the seasons change and colder months set in, it’s important to balance your circadian rhythm by getting more sleep. Not only does it balance hormonesand alleviate stress, but getting plenty of rest also boosts blood flowwhich promotes a dewy, goddess glow.
- Shop Online for Last-Minute Party Outfits.
The internet makes it easier than ever for last-minute fashion dilemmas. If you already have classics on hand like the little black dress or a hot red cocktail dress, a quick search online can update an older wardrobe item for those out of the blue party invites. Consider adding a soft and floral cashmere scarf or skinny leather beltto accentuate your favorite ensemble.
- Grab Some Prepared Desserts for Your Guests.
It’s fun to make your own meals for the holidays, but sometimes we need a little extra help. Stop by your local bakery for a fresh pumpkin pie or even handmade granola for some breakfast grabs. Our nearby eateries like Gentle Harvestand Red Truck Bakeryhave endless options for guests who may have allergies or want Vegan-friendly cuisine.
- Get Moving (but Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff.)
Exercise is an incredible way to lift your mood, detox the bod, and release stress– especially during the holidays. The best part is, you get to choose what YOU want to do. Whether it’s fun game of tennis, a quick run around the block, or an intense yoga session, sweat in the style that you prefer. Plus, you can look super cute while you work out with stylish athletic slacks like the vintage wash moto leggingsor retro-vibe dip dye leggings.
- Hello More H20 – Guzzle Down the Good Stuff.
When you’re on the go with so many holiday events and menu planning projects, it’s easy to forget how much water you’re drinking. Be mindful of how much H20 you consume and make it as enjoyable as possible. Whether you sip on a thermos full of warm herbal tea, or add slices of fruit or cucumbers to your daily fill, make it fun. As simple as it sounds, drinking more pure, filtered spring water plumps up the skin, flushes out toxins, and boosts your immunity.
