This Season's Shades: a style guide

This Season's Shades: a style guide

Everyone has a favorite sunglasses style, and rotating among several different pairs is an exceptionally easy way to change your look. With sunglasses, you can try a trend without investing a lot of money into a whole outfit.

Mirrored sunglasses came on strong in 2015 and they are here to stay in 2016. One of our most popular styles from Blue Planet. This Classic Bamboo polarized pair is right on trend at $45:
Also trending in eyewear are circular and oversize shapes recalling the peace, love and fashion movement of the '60s era. Characterized by the Brit invasion and American Pop explosion, Mod expression, fashion icons like Twiggy and music icons like The Velvet Underground's front woman Nico, these styles have been enduring throughout the decades.

Protect yourself from the sun's rays in UVA/B shaded lenses and glance out at your world in full style
like Twiggy did in these oversize clear shades, or go a little more undercover and peruse fashion magazines with dark lenses like Nico and many others:

Similar styles at lou lou include our retro wayfarers priced at $20:
And our Blue Planet Ojai polarized sunglasses, $30:

An added bonus is that Blue Planet glasses (in black) give back to the visually impaired community. Blue Planet has donated more that 75,000 pairs of glasses!

For a real pop of color throw on these bold shades for a full circle look, in their fully fabulous red color which is indeed still in for Spring. It doesn't matter that we are well past the holidays; red stays chic along with Spring pastels, especially in rounded formation.

Ring around the Rosie: Eyes on Fashion Week (Paris)
This year's fashion week in Paris has come and gone (debuting styles for Fall of 2016, it's clear that Spring is always in) and proved that many designers are "petal pushers" as they're being called by many fashionistas. What's our flowery nod to that? Our rose colored glasses that are just $25:

Grace Jones recently attended a book signing during fashion week in Paris and danced all night afterwards, truly living her La Vie en Rose. She's one of those ladies that can wear sunglasses on any red carpet, in or outside, and still look cool. She's wearing oversize, geometric shades here.

Grace Jones in circular shades and Naomi Campbell rocking aviators, with just enough round contour to shape her face perfectly.

Aviators can also be found at lou lou if you want to channel your inner Naomi. Our Blue Planet Shiny Gold Aviators are just $30:
You have many options for a clear, bright and unobstructed view. Springtime is happening all around us, and it's time to pick which type of circular accessory you want to protect your eyes from the biggest, baddest circle there is, the one we all enjoy most.
